Owners of the new iPhone should be aware that some camera glitches are being caused by cases that attach via magnets. Apple does not recommend that iPhone case makers use magnets, but some use them anyway.


The magnetic interference affects the Optical Image Stabilization feature, and also the NFC technology used for Apple Pay

Apple temporarily closes its online store in Russia
Due to concerns over the stability of the Russian ruble, Apple temporarily closed its online store in the country to reassess its pricing. Not as big a market as other countries, it's apparently big enough that Apple is concerned with the currency fluctuations.


"Due to extreme fluctuations in the value of the ruble, our online store in Russia is currently unavailable while we review pricing. We apologize to customers for any inconvenience," Apple said in a statement.

Jury: Apple not guilty of DRM abuse
The decade long trial over Apple's use of its FairPlay DRM to prevent music purchased outside its store from playing, is over. The jury found that Apple was not guilty of violating anti-trust laws.


The jury found that Apple's changes in iTunes 7, the source of the complaint, were an improvement and not in violation of the law.

Gartner: Apple to have record quarter, Samsung slowing down
iphone-6-plus-at-work-copy.jpgThe iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have led Apple to an upcoming record quarter, according to analysts at Gartner. Strong iPhone sales since release produced a 26 percent increase quarter over quarter.

While Apple sales were up, Gartner sees Samsung's financial troubles continuing, due to encroachment on its market by Xiaomi.
